As a born and raised New Yorker, who has lived all over New York City, Queens has a special place in my heart. It is the most diverse borough in the city and has such great culture and diversity. One place I love visiting is Astoria in Queens. Astoria is a vibrant Queens neighborhood that has become a popular destination for young adults to live, eat, and hang out. It was not always a trendy hotspot, but throughout the years it has truly evolved from its historical roots into a vibrant cultural hub, particularly influenced by a diverse influx of immigrants, enriching its character and community.

Astoria Park: A Green Oasis by the East River

Astoria Park is a public park where you can enjoy scenic views and tons of fun activities such as tennis courts, a swimming pool, fitness equipment, dog-friendly areas, and so much more! It’s a beautiful place to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, and a great option for the warmer months to take in the view of New York City.

The park is located along the eastern shore of the Hellgate Bridge, a narrow passage of the East River, bordered by Ditmars Boulevard to the north and Hoyt Avenue to the south.
